A new proclamation

I have decided after much consideration that I must change my profession. I was onto something in 2nd grade when I wrote my what I want to be when I grow up paper... When I grow up, I will be a princess! So from now on, I will stop at nothing until that final goal is achieved! In case you are wondering this career change all comes from my visit to Windsor Castle today. It was incredible! We saw St George's Chapel 1st, where Charles and Camilla were married- it was beyond comprehension- even after being to places like Milan and Venice! The art in there the fine details, everything just blew my mnd... I saw graves of various royalty and the special chapel for the Queen Mother. It was weird once again to be in a place that you see on TV.
Next we went to the state apartments, and let me just tell you their idea of apartment and my idea apartment are a tiny bit different. Can I just say that my entire apartment would fit in the king's dressing room?! Once again I am confused, why are there no clothes in the dressing room... Its kinda like Yorkshire pudding... ooo I saw microwavable pudding in a tin can today and kleenex, 'just for men' go figure.... We saw Queen Anne's doll house which is about the size of my kitchen! The little intricacies were incredible!
The grounds of Windsor are amazing- there was even a waterfall that was just a tad bit nicer than the one my dad has installed in their garden! Weird thing happened I was talking to a woman today that was on the tour and she grew up in Clayton and attended the same high school my brother did! How weird is that- to meet 10, 000 miles from there? She hasn't been back there since '88 though so I was telling her how ritzy Walnut Creek had become... she too did enjoy Skippolini's.
Made it back in time for dinner -- ooh yum, cold soup!! it was so gross! There was trout too but I asked for the vegetarian option instead which was really very good! After dinner we walked around town for a bit, everything closes early but it was fun to window shop- they have some great clothes that look like they are an amazing price then you realize how much they cost in dollars and it is not quite the bargain you had imagined. I did find a few clothes that would fit into my role as princess. Don't you agree it has a nice ring to it, Princess Alison. I will have to find myself a crown.
And now it is time to procrastinate my studying of the European Union's economic policy and history and play some fruitless games of solitare! Let's cross our fingers that tonight's drunks will be a bit more quiet and will let me catch up on my sleep a bit more! Adieu, Auf Wiedersehen,Gazuntheit!
