Ireland- Final Thoughts

Do We Really Have to Go?!

We are sitting in the airport waiting to go to London... the nice thing, it is cool and brisk again. We walked to the bus stop this morning only to be greeted by an angry American who could not wiat to get back to his beloved homeland. We on the other hand just want to stay forever!

Just in case you make it to the Emerald Isle one day some words of advice:

• Irish time runs a bit slower than Americans
• The buses are late when you are waiting and on time when you aren't there.
• Irish Bacon is way better than American bacon
• The shortest line moves the slowest.
• Bring a jacket no matter what.
• Ryan Air is a great way to travel for cheap!
• Dogs run wild
• Keep an eye out for asses- no not Americans, the animal!
• The road less traveled really is the best
• Pack an extra bag to bring back all your Irish treasures.
• Drink Guinness and lots of it!
• Climb over the slate wall at the Cliffs, you won't regret it... unless you fall!
• Eat the Irish Breakfast
• Buy an Eireann bus pass
• Hickey is a common last name (you hear it a lot and it always makes me giggle)
• Do not drive!
• Wave to Singing Speedy Susie as she almost runs you over
• Watch out for Road Rage Rico!
• Bring comfortable shoes
• Enjoy every minute, it will go too fast!
