Busted!!!!

So yes, although most of you already knew, my lack of attention span has been confirmed. Today while in class my tutor says, Alison, come back to us... As I had been looking longingly out the window in the rear of the room. I had been doing so well today too! I had participated in class - more than once and got the questions correct, don't I feel special knowing about the European Strength and Mobility pact and why it has been suspended... that's what I'm here, cause I'm smart--- s-m-r-t! Ok, I just did the research. How embarrassing is it though to have your daydreaming pointed out, I think I was imagining how incredibly horrendous it would be to have the ruddy Danny partridge guy every day of the week... Interestingly enough this tutor is from Northern Ireland and well sort of resembles a Colin Firth sort of character with bright blue eyes. He seemed thoroughly disappointed when we told him we would not be doing the papers; there are 2 of us who are teachers and he said something to the effect of, aww did your dogs eat it?? At least he has a sense of humor- lots of comments made against the French though!
the Toilets in some parts are officially scary... And some people apparently do not believe it is necessary to flush and or when they do, they show have a stack to the 4x4 scraps of tp down with the water ick but I digress...
We skipped the oh so tempting lamb this evening and went to a concert, we stopped at a little Italian place for supper ( m, that was for you - yes, I called it supper!) After that we found a museum to peruse- it had tons of Egyptian artifacts leading me to wonder- are there any Left t in Egypt. I found this really cool hippo thing that I may need to go back in get. Hippos are my new animal of interest... in case you were wondering. Oh yeah and I feel like quite the deprived child of the 80s, I did not have Hungry Hungry Hippos as a child....maybe my new obsession is linked to my withdrawal as a child- I am sure mr. Freud would agree.
Moving on- we found a place for a brownie - in England the brownies have all sorts of fruitcake like rubbish in them, I don't like fruitcake but throw in chocolate- how can it get any worse?
We say Susanne Vega in concert tonight, she was really good - she sang aa song about solitare which was great since that is my new addiction- how many times will I play before I win?! And yes, she did play Tom's Diner- you know, 'I am sitting at the counter at a diner on the corner .... ' It was fun to be out and about late and when we were returning we saw the young chaps who keep me awake nightly at the pub accross the street from my room- last night a few of them were singing God Bless America at midnight and rolling down the street in a luggage cart...
Ok, I should get down to business and come down here to do what I came to do-- read Hello Online( that's like the British national enquirer) just kidding! And in the words of Truman...
Good Afternoon , good evening and good night

Glad to hear you are safe and sound! Will be very interesting to see how the politicos, media treat the bombings. Is this the beginning of another phase / escalation?

A vicarious tour of the Pub across the street would be interesting. Dart boards, seating, decor, hours. What is the name?

Sounds like there is no high risk to becoming the 'glib American' target - they will 'always have Paris' in the bulls eye!

Now back to OLN - big TdF crash today. Have to study the crash technique. Maybe another Cheryl Crow siting too. Maybe Lance will join her band following the 7th win?

Hungry Hungry Hippos!?!?! I thought you'd gotten over that long ago but obviously not.

Oh, the things parents learn in the distant future about the mistakes they've made. Should we put it on your Christmas list?

Love you- Mom
